Abstract Landscape by Karen Lavender

Features

ARTIST NOTES: I have used recycled silver foil and other papers, acrylic paints and markers, to create this alluring abstract landscape. I love that it makes me feel like I want to go for a walk in the painting to explore my surrounds and see what the mysterious structures are that are off in the distance.

ARTIST BIO

I love to create art with emotion and texture. I use lots of different materials when working, such as craft papers, fabrics, acrylic paints, watercolour paints, pencils, pastels cardboard and anything else I feel will work.

While I do use brushes in some of my art I prefer to use unconventional implements, such as pieces of cardboard, paper, my fingers, knives, twigs, plastic sheets and anything else that I can get my hands on.

I have been away from the art scene for a few years due to personal reasons but now I have a wonderful studio in adelaide, SA and I like nothing better than experimenting and creating art.
