Mesmerising View From Jetty by Christine Davis

Features

ARTIST NOTES: Oil Paint on canvas, ready to hang. Signed on the front. Mesmerising view from Jetty oil painting was created from a reference photo I took from the Port Noarlunga Jetty, South Australia. I love meditating on the waters from a jetty and becoming mesmerised by the shapes and colours created in the water. I imagine what creatures are below the surface and if I would be catching fish if I had a line in. The day I took the photo was a bright sunny day and the water was an amazing emerald green. This painting is being exhibited at the St Stephens Lutheran Church for the SALA( South Australian Living Artist) Festival from the 1st August -28th August along with six other of my artworks. . The theme is 'Living Water'. Open Saturdays 11am-4pm and Sundays 2-5pm. If the painting is not sold I will make it available for purchase on 30th August.

                                       CHRISTINE DAVIS ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Christine began to pursue her passion for creating art by participating in mixed media and drawing classes at the Victorian Artist Society in Melbourne. During this time, she created many watercolor paintings and several drawings which were shown in exhibitions.  She later enrolled for the diploma of Visual Arts at Victoria University where she was introduced to painting in oils and printmaking. Christine and her family moved to Adelaide in 2020 where she transferred her art study to the Adelaide College of the Arts and completed the diploma of Visual Arts. She is now developing her own unique style of fine art using oils, watercolour, and pencils and recently purchased a printing press so is adding prints to her work. She exhibits her artworks in various exhibitions in Adelaide.  Christine's art is her way of revealing the beauty around us. ‘Your artwork has made me think about landscapes differently’ quote from the viewer.
